Unveiling the New Wakanow

So earlier in the week I was invited to the Unveiling of Wakanow ’s new brand identity, launch of their new website and official recognition of their partnership with Zenith Bank. It was quite an  exciting one as I love everything and anything that’s travel related.

Wakanow is Africa’s foremost online travel booking portal which has grown from a modest company to one of the leading players in the travel industry in Nigeria and Africa.

The new brand design, a combination of the very vibrant sea blue and orange colors according to Mrs. Victoria Onwubiko the Chief Marketing Officer is a personification of upwards and forward movement that is a key part of the brands mantra, with a simplicity that makes it easily recognizable among other leading world brands.

The new website www.wakanow.com which went live at the event has got a highly friendly user interface with a whole lot of budget travel packages, including hotel bookings, flight reservation and visa assistance bundles accessible from anywhere as long as you have got internet connectivity.

Wakanow also offers installment payment services for those who might not be able to make lump sum payment which in my opinion is a laudable one.

The partnership with Zenith Bank as bank of choice is also a strategic one which Managing Director and founder of Wakanow, Obinna Ekezie stated will be a vehicle to take the innovative Wakanow products to Africa and the world at large.

I am particularly excited about ”Destination Africa” by Wakanow which will be launched soon and which is purely about promoting Africa Travels to Africa and the world. With offices strategically located in UK, UAE, Ghana and proposed offices in US and Kenya, Africa Travels will be thrown more light.

Have you tried Wakanow? What was your experience like? I’d love to know!

Another great one from FindingAE …. wakanow is a very good platform expecially when you need to compare prices. ..I think they can do better on the site UX tho.

I have enjoyed using Wakanow for many international travels? The fact that they follow up on your travel dates and remind you of your travel documentation requirements is a plus for me.

Well, maybe they can also negotiate further discounts for passengers ☺

    Welldone Anu

I’ve used Wakanow only once. Used the site to book my last trip to SA. The prices were very competitive. The service was also excellent. I had an agent follow up constantly with my trip & preparations. I’m motivated to book with them again. I’ve got them listed on the sites & apps I use to travel…
